Angular cheilitis, also known as angular stomatitis, refers to the sore and bleeding corners of the mouth. This condition is medically referred to as dermatitis. Angular cheilitis is the specific term used to describe angular stomatitis.

Angular cheilitis can be a really frustrating condition to deal with, but it is certainly not uncommon. What is angular cheilitis? Basically angular cheilitis simply means angular lip or mouth sore. The medical terms used to describe this condition are dermatitis and angular cheilitis. So you see, it makes sense now doesn’t it?

When you think of what is angular cheilitis, you may have an image of red swollen lesions that cover your lips. If they look a little bit like sores then you are probably thinking of this condition. This is where the term comes from.

While we know what these lesions look like in medical terms they can be anything from red to yellow and even green. There is nothing too unique about them. If you look closely you will notice that they have edges that are raised. In fact, they can even be shaped like a heart, but they are not that sharp. The edges are more like rounded points.

When someone is trying to understand what is angular cheilitis and what causes it, they often try to pinpoint the exact cause. Of course if the condition is so rare that nobody knows exactly what it is or what causes it, then that does not answer the question of what causes angular cheilitis. But you see, the question of what causes it actually has to do with the area that is covered by these raised edges.

The area around the lips is referred to as the mucosa, or mouth mucosa. The area around the corners of the mouth is referred to as the sublingual submucosal glands. When these glands become infected with bacteria, they produce white blood in pockets that can be found beneath the lip and on the corners of the mouth.

Bacteria are one of the biggest reasons why this happens. When bacteria thrive in this way the white blood starts to spread, and this spread of the bacteria causes inflammation in the mouth, as well as the redness and the swelling. Once the bacteria reach a certain level, the pain associated with it can become chronic. The problem can become a lot worse if the patient has a weakened immune system.

What we are talking about here is basically what is called a chronic condition and the reason for it is quite simple. It’s caused by the inflammation, and this is why most people who suffer from it have to take anti-inflammatory medications, because the medication helps reduce the amount of inflammation.

So now that we know what causes angular cheilitis, we can also understand why this condition is so difficult to treat. If we just treat it once and for all, it doesn’t matter how long it stays in our body. Because when the bacteria are gone, it never comes back.

Now there are several different ways to treat the condition. If you are looking for a natural way to cure angular cheilitis, then there are many herbs that you can use that are known for their effectiveness in helping cure the symptoms of this condition. Some of them include St. John’s Wort, Echinacea, and Garlic.

Another natural way to cure angular cheilitis is by using a hot pad or heat. You can get these over the counter at your local drugstore. There are also creams and ointments that you can use.

Finally, there are also home remedies that you can use that are both natural and effective. One example of one of these is baking soda. Baking soda is very effective in reducing the bacteria that causes the condition. Please read our Angular Cheilitis Free Forever review here.
